Post Author Dejan Mladenovic by Dejan Mladenovic | Last Updated: April 30, 2021

If you are wondering which websites are the best for searching Job openings in the Norwegian Job Market this is the right article for you and we will try to provide as many as possible useful links for you so you can focus on more important things in your Job Search.

First, we will list our picks and then we will write about each of the suggestions so you can know what to expect. Please, if you have a suggestion to include some other links do not hesitate to contacts us using our contact form.

In 2007 and half of 2008 I was exactly in your shoes while searching the internet for job opportunities throughout western European countries. At one point I have focused my search on one country and you can bet that was Norway. I have to admit that my knowledge about Norway was very limited and the biggest concern was the language barrier. I think I was worrying too much since most Norwegians speak excellent English.

For my first job in Norway, I have done all the research in my home country, sent applications from abroad until getting the chance for job interviews when I visited Norway for the first time, and finally got the offer.

The second job in Norway was a lot easier. I have done the whole process in Norway.

I am pretty sure that the research that helped me will be helpful to you as well. Especially, if you do not know much or nearly anything about the Norwegian job market like I was back in the days.

The Best Job Listings In Norway

Here is the list of the most interesting Job Search websites in Norway:

On NAV you can create a CV that can be visible to employers and you can search for almost all Job Vacancies in Norway. The downside is that it is in Norwegian but has some advertisements in English. The use of Google Translator might help you to a certain extent but it is far from perfect so be aware of that.
There are some pages in English but with very limited information so check it here.

FINN – Job Portal

FINN is also a huge Job Portal where you can create your profile, save a CV, search for Job Vacancies, create a Job Agent so you can get filtered results based on your search criteria right into your inbox. You will cross into the FINN one way or another since it is not just for Jobs but rather for selling or buying almost anything in Norway and more.

In our next article How To Keep Your Job Search Focused In Norway, we have shown how to use the Finn website to narrow down your Job Search and filter only the best opportunities so you can focus on those first in your further job application process steps and do not waste your time and energy on too many offers.

Manpower – Recruitment Agency

Manpower is an international recruitment agency with long tradition backing to 1965. Manpower provides services for both temporary and permanent positions and has offices throughout Norway. Here is possible to register a CV and search Job openings.

If you want to know more about how to use recruitment agencies in Norway, what to do, what to expect, how to find them, and my humble personal experience with some of them please read our article How To Use Recruitment Agencies In Norway.

LinkedIn – Social Network

LinkedIn is a very popular social network and creating the profile provides everyone to be visible to the possible employers or recruitment agents that are on the hunt for the right candidate. If you have recently changed a job be sure that there is a high probability that some recruitment agent will contact you since they know that you are active on the job market.

We have discussed in our article Build Your Professional Brand And Be Visible In Norway how to promote yourself online and one of the branding tools is LinkedIn profile.

Adecco – Recruitment Agency

Adecco is another well-known international recruitment agency with many offices in the whole of Norway. Here you can create your profile, search for jobs, create a job alert for the search results based on your criteria, and create your personal page. Adecco provides services both for temporary and permanent positions.

Jobbsafari – Recruitment Agency

Jobbsafari is a Job Search Engine where candidates can create CVs, search for jobs, create Job Agents to get the jobs in the inbox. The website is in both English and Norwegian. It is very easy to navigate around.

Jobzone – Recruitment Agency

Jobzone is a recruitment agency in Norway where the candidate can search for jobs and create their own profile. The website is in Norwegian, English, and Polish language.

Temp-Team – Recruitment Agency

Temp-Team is another recruitment agency and the website is in many languages. They have done their job with the localization of the website, well done. They offer you to register with certain Temp-team office locations if you want a local connection. Other services are, as usual, search for jobs, upload a CV, etc.

Good To Know

Many companies have contracts with some recruitment agencies that will provide the services for them whenever they need that. My wife works in a construction company and they have a contract with two recruitment agencies. These companies will provide temporary workers whenever there is a need since the construction industry can be very volatile.
